In September of 2014, in the midst of burying a very old dear friend of mine, I was contacted by a friend from the CrossFit box I attend asking me if I was interested in doing some modeling. A friend of hers needed a middle-aged “fit” guy and she thought of me. In keeping with my life philosophy of “Who Dares Lives,” I said why not and spent the afternoon in front of the camera doing a variety of exercises and more. I had a blast and by the end of the shoot, the photographer and support people were telling me to get representation. I found the whole idea funny and amusing, but again – what the hell? I submitted some shots of myself to Maggie, Inc. the top agency in Massachusetts and a week later, they met with me and agreed to represent me.
Thus begins a new adventure in my life.
To-date, I’ve done shoots for Cybex International, State Street Bank, and Putnam Investments and my outlook on this aspect is pretty nonchalant. If anything comes of it, great. But I’m not desperate to be thought of as a model, even if I get a kick out of it. Everything in life is an experience and this is another one for me to enjoy.
That said, if you’d like to hire me for modeling, you can contact Maggie, Inc. and request me for your shoot. Their number is 617-536-2639
Here are some sample shots of me from various assignments along with my very first televised commercial:
