The legendary shadow warriors of feudal Japan amazed me from an early age. I grew up during the 1980s, when the “ninja boom” was happening in the martial arts world. As a result, I was mystified and longed to be a part of the secret world they inhabited.

It took me a long time to find a qualified teacher of authentic ninjutsu, but once I did, I never looked back. My training experiences have taken me all over the United States and to Japan and the art is simply amazing. Unfortunately, it also attracts a lot of idiots (all martial arts styles have their fair share of such people) who detract from the importance an art like ninjutsu has to play even in our modern world.
